Organic Matcha "Nagomi" 100 g – for Matcha Latte and pure
"Nagomi" (和) means harmony and balance – fitting its gentle, versatile character. This Japanese organic matcha is the successor to our popular "Shuhou" and is suitable for both classic preparation with water and creamy matcha latte.
Organic Matcha for Usucha & high-quality Matcha Latte
Nagomi is suitable as an organic matcha for Usucha, the classic preparation method of the Japanese tea ceremony with relatively more water, as well as for a high-quality matcha latte.
"Ceremonial Grade" is not an official Japanese quality standard. We explain why we differentiate between Usucha and Koicha instead in our blog post.
Taste & Character
Fine earthy-chocolate notes, a mild bitterness, and subtle umami make "Nagomi" pleasantly approachable. With milk, its matcha flavor remains clearly discernible; pure, it impresses with a soft, balanced aroma.
Organic Matcha from Japan
Organic certified matcha from Japan is still rare. Sustainable cultivation without chemical-synthetic pesticides requires a lot of experience and careful nurturing. Our Japanese tea partners combine this responsible cultivation method with high-quality processing.
Preparation
For a bowl of matcha, sift 1.5–2 g of powder into a chawan. Mix with a small amount of warm water to form a smooth paste. Then add 100–150 ml of water at about 80 °C and whisk the matcha with a chasen in quick Z-motions until finely frothy.
For matcha latte, smoothly mix 1.5–2 g of "Nagomi" with a little warm water, then pour in about 200 ml of warm or cold milk or plant-based drink. Sweeten to taste and serve with ice cubes for an iced matcha latte.
Packaging & Storage
The colorful 100g package with red and white koi motifs combines Japanese design with a modern look. After opening, store tightly sealed and cool, ideally in the refrigerator.
