Japanese incense ash for rituals, incense sticks & kodo

This fine ash for incense bowls forms the ideal basis for a clean, controlled incense burning experience. It is perfectly suited for Japanese incense sticks as well as for traditional rituals with charcoal and aromatic woods.

🌿 Versatile application
Japanese incense sticks can be placed directly into the ashes and burned almost without a trace. Alternatively, the sticks can be broken and burned lying on the bed of ashes to control the fragrance and intensity.

In the Japanese incense ceremony Kodo , the ash is used to embed a small piece of tadon charcoal. This gently heats precious woods without burning them, resulting in a particularly delicate aroma. This method is also firmly established in Buddhist temples.

🔥 For conscious smudging rituals
The fine structure ensures stability, heat resistance and an even fragrance release – ideal for meditation, mindfulness and traditional ceremonies.

✔ For Japanese incense sticks & charcoal
✔ Clean, controlled smoking
✔ Traditional & versatile
✔ Ideal for incense burners and fireproof containers

👉 Tip:
Before burning the incense, smooth the ash and, if necessary, form a small hollow – for a calm, even fragrance development.
