Versatile grit for kitchen knives
Togi 1000 is a versatile ceramic sharpening stone for the regular honing of kitchen knives.
With its #1000 grit, it is suitable for knives that have lost their sharpness but do not require coarse grinding. The medium grit removes enough material to rebuild the edge while simultaneously leaving a comparatively fine finish.
For many kitchen knives, #1000 is a particularly practical grit for regular maintenance.
For various knife steels
The ceramic sharpening material offers consistent sharpening performance and is also suitable for hard knife steels such as Aogami and stainless steel.
For very dull or damaged edges, it is recommended to start with a coarser grit such as Togi 400. Those who wish to further refine the edge afterwards can continue with Togi 5000 or Togi 8000.
Short soaking and practical whetstone holder
Before use, the Togi 1000 only requires a short soaking.
The included storage box can simultaneously be used as a whetstone holder during sharpening. This allows the stone to sit elevated and stable on the work surface and be stored protected after use.
