Organic Hojicha – Finely roasted, low-caffeine green tea for relaxing moments

100 grams

Enjoy our smoky, low-caffeine organic Hojicha. Its malty notes create a cozy, warm feeling - perfect for relaxed moments. The taste is reminiscent of roasted cocoa beans and gives the tea a subtle sweetness and depth. This earthy, warm aroma makes it particularly pleasant and creates a harmonious enjoyment experience that lingers for a long time.

Kyoto Roasting: Unique and Aromatic

Hojicha was developed in Kyoto in the 1920s and is very different from other types of green tea such as Sencha or Matcha. Roasting the leaves at high temperatures develops intense, smoky aromas and gives the leaves a reddish-brown color.

Low in caffeine and gentle

Thanks to the roasting process, Hojicha contains very little caffeine, making it a pleasant, stomach-friendly choice - even for the evening. The aroma remains smoky and mild, but without the characteristic bitterness of many green teas - ideal for those who prefer an earthy and pleasantly roasted note.

preparation

  • 300 ml water, 100 degrees
  • 5-7g (3 tsp) Hojicha
  • Let it brew for 30 seconds
