Gyokuro Yashiro: Discover the essence of high Japanese tea quality

80 g

When we tried Gyokuro for the first time, we were surprised. Was that really green tea in our cup? The intense umami taste , richer and deeper than expected, was more reminiscent of a rich soup . But with each sip, Gyokuro Yashiro revealed its extraordinary aroma - an experience we had never had before. "Yashiro", which means "precious mist", perfectly describes how this exclusive taste spreads gently on the tongue.

A rare treasure of Japanese tea culture

In Japan, Gyokuro is a rarity, accounting for only 0.5% of the total tea harvest, and even many Japanese have never enjoyed this specialty tea. Its cultivation is almost considered an art form, with sophisticated cultivation methods such as shading the tea bushes and special cutting techniques giving Gyokuro its incomparable taste. This tea embodies the quintessence of the Japanese tea tradition , sharing its dense, intense aroma with every sip.

Masterfully prepared Gyokuro Yashiro

Gyokuro Yashiro stands for a tea of unrivalled quality, which is created through elaborate care and precision. Preparation requires patience and attention to detail: a generous amount of tea leaves, slightly heated water (50-70°C), and a longer brewing time of up to 3 minutes, which fully brings out the depth of its umami taste. With Gyokuro Yashiro, experience a dimension of Japanese green tea that will amaze you.
