For polishing and particularly finely crafted edges
Togi 8000 is a very fine ceramic sharpening stone for the final polish of high-quality kitchen knives.
With its #8000 grit, it is suitable for the final refinement and polishing of an already well-sharpened edge. Very little material is removed during this process, while the surface of the edge is further smoothed.
Togi 8000 is aimed especially at anyone who values a very clean, precise finish on fine Japanese knives.
As a final step after coarser grits
For dull knives, Togi 8000 is not intended as the first sharpening stone. First, the edge should be formed with a coarser or medium grit, for example with Togi 1000.
For a particularly finely graduated sharpening process, Togi 5000 can be used beforehand, before Togi 8000 provides the final finishing touch.
Short soaking and practical sharpening stone holder
Before use, Togi 8000 requires only a short soaking.
The included storage box can be used as a sharpening stone holder during the sharpening process. This allows the stone to sit raised and stable on the work surface and can be stored protected after use.
