Mochi Workshop – Experience the Art of Japanese Sweets for Yourself

Mochis are among Japan's finest delicacies – delicate, elastic, and surprisingly versatile. In this workshop, you will learn how to make these special rice cakes yourself and master their different textures and preparation methods.

Content

You will prepare three classic and seasonal mochi variations:

  • Classic Adzuki Mochi
  • Strawberry Matcha Mochi
  • Sakura Mochi

You will learn three different techniques:

  • the traditional preparation
  • the modern, time-saving method with rice flour
  • pan-frying for a special texture

Mochi & Matcha

Matcha preparation is an integral part of the workshop: Together, you will prepare high-quality Matcha and enjoy it with your freshly made mochis – just as intended in Japanese tea culture.

As a special extra, after the workshop, you will receive a one-time 10% discount at the Shinkoko Teahouse.

Group Size

The workshop is deliberately limited to a maximum of 9 participants. This creates a calm, focused atmosphere and enough space for individual questions – for an intensive, almost 1:1 supervised learning experience.
